It’s hard to believe that in a few days Dan and I will have been married for 3 months and dating for almost 5 years! In some ways it feels like the time has flown since we met, but then when I think about all that has happened in those almost 5 years, it makes it seem longer.
We are so excited to celebrate our First Married Christmas with our family. 2 days ago also marked one year for us as homeowners. Last year at this time, we were running all around to see everyone and trying to plan our move from Hoboken into our new house in Summit! Two days after Christmas, we also celebrated the wedding of two of our most fun friends, Ricci and Jessie!! Happy almost 1 year anniversary to you two kitties! Dan and I decided last year that we wanted to host this year with it being our first official Christmas in our house and our first married Christmas! We have spent the last couple weeks preparing, decorating, and obviously crafting for tomorrow! I can’t wait for our family to get here, especially my two little nieces, as this is their first Christmas!!!
This year has been filled with so many good things, and of course a few not so great, as well. I will certainly miss talking to my grandpa on Christmas day, along with dancing and singing with Dan’s Grandma to our favorite Christmas music. Holidays always make me a little sad, when I reminisce about the times that our loved ones were present. I always try my best to just think about the many happy holidays I had with them, and think of them often throughout the day.
In a few short hours, I will be finished with work and back home to begin the festivities. My parents are coming over tonight for dinner and to help us get everything ready for tomorrow. They are sleeping over so we can all wake up here on Christmas morning together! I will miss my sister, Joey, and the girls tonight, but they will be here tomorrow…yippeee!!! Stay tuned to instagram @hollyontheblog for my sister and I’s matching Christmas outfits. We even have matching pajamas with our mom, as they are all sleeping over tomorrow night! I am so excited to have a packed house filled with lots of love and Christmas fun! My cousins are coming from upstate NY, Maryland, and South Jersey to ring in Christmas Day! It’s going to be epic and don’t worry, we will have a hashtag for all the pictures.
I hope that you all enjoy today, tomorrow and all the days to follow. Merry Christmas Eve to those who celebrate!
Thanks for reading and have a fun day 🙂
Here is my picture of the day….
The frame & Ponzo Claus will be making a reappearance for this Christmas!!!! ❤
