I have tried a whole bunch of restaurants in the city, but my nod for my favorite will always go to Becco. Becco is over on Restaurant Row on 46th between 8th and 9th. It is in the heart of the theater district, so it can certainly get very busy. I recommend a reservation. The restaurant is owned by chef Lidia Bastianich and has never disappointed me. One of my favorite things is that they have a $25 bottle of wine list that is pages long. They also have this great deal for the pasta special. You get a salad and then as much as you can eat of 3 specialty pasta dishes, which are always beyond amazing! I never leave hungry or unsatisfied!
One of the first couple dates Dan took me on was to Becco, and we go back whenever we have a chance. It is fun, but definitely crowded and a bit loud. There’s not really very much of an area to wait for your table, if there is a little wait. The street that it is on is cute though so you can walk outside if it is not too chilly! I highly recommend trying it out. I would try to go on an off day or earlier in the night.

We need to plan our trip back soon! You should too!
