Holiday Shower Baskets…Wedding Wednesday!

This was supposed to be posted last week, but I made a mistake!  So here it is today…

My shower was such a fun day!! I felt so lucky to have so many people come out to celebrate our wedding.  Dan was there to eat the yummy lunch and help me unwrap all the generous gifts.  It was a lot of fun for me, and I still look back at the pictures and smile.  The crazy thing was, the day went SO fast.  I felt like I got to the shower and all of a sudden it was over.  I remember feeling the same way with my sister’s shower.  It just flies by, but it is such a great day filled with so much love!

My Mom, Grandma, and Aunt Karen were planning a very special set of gifts for me for my big day.  I will continue to enjoy these gifts for many holidays to come.  They found these very cute baskets with lids in all different sizes and inside they packed them with holiday decorations.  Each basket had a theme (ie. Valentine’s Day, Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc.).  Inside each themed basket was various decorations, napkins, tablecloths, and various chotskies for me to use in the corresponding holiday season.  I have really enjoyed going back through each basket as the holidays approach.  It is a nice way to remember my Wedding shower, and how special the day was for me.  They kept telling me how much fun they had looking for each holiday in the year prior to our wedding.

This of course takes some planning, but can be fun if you are looking for a unique set of gifts for the bride in your life!  The best part is all the decorations can be stored in the proper basket and used as decoration.  I think this was my Mom’s way to encourage me to clean up after myself haha.  The baskets also looked so cute at my shower, as they were all open and on display for people attending.

I just love holidays.  I have a whole Pinterest board dedicated to holidays, which is appropriately named “Holly-days!”  If you want to follow along with me on Pinterest, my username is hollypsu.  Here is a link to my page, as well:

I wish I had a better picture of the baskets, but I couldn’t find one (I will keep looking and update if I find one…)!

Thanks for reading and have a fun day 🙂

Here is my picture of the day…

The baskets are behind my little cousins, who I learned are no longer little and almost taller than me…not sure how I got the shrimp genes!
