One of my favorite things about my husband is that he makes me laugh. Sometimes I tell him to be serious and stop making everything a joke, but really, deep down I love the fact that he doesn’t take life too seriously.
It’s even more entertaining when my husband gets together with his friends from college because I honestly love just sitting back and listening as one of them tries to be funnier than the other. I firmly believe laughing is the absolute best medicine. I love to laugh. I will even pay money to go see comedians because I just love laughing.
This past weekend we spent some time working on our nursery. It was such a great weekend. I felt like we were so productive thanks to our amazing family. I’m a pretty slow moving human these days, so it was so helpful to have my brother-in-law to help Dan put together the crib and changing table, my dad to paint so many walls (I hope one day I will find the strength to do things I dislike doing, just because my child wants me to do them), and our moms to help me with laundry, cleaning, patching our comforter, organizing, cooking lunch/dinner, and so many more little tasks. We also could not have made it through the day without my sister and our nieces. Our nieces are twins and almost a year and a half. They are in such a funny stage, every minute I spend with them is a guaranteed time filled with laughter. They are such good eaters and get so excited about meal time, which always cracks me up. Dan’s brother and sister-in-law got Harper a little piano for Christmas, so the twins took it for a test run. I laughed so hard watching them play the piano. They were so happy and laughing so hard as they slammed on the keys. My sister got the best video of them and posted it on Instagram, if you follow her–you have to watch it. I have watched it about 100 times. I can’t wait for them to show Harper how to play with all the fun toys. I also can’t wait to see how they react to a new baby cousin.
The reason I started this blog was because I saw this hilarious Instagram post, which couldn’t possibly better describe my relationship with my husband. I am grateful for the relationship we have, and the fact that he doesn’t force me to be normal. I hope Harper likes to be weird and laugh as much as we do!!!!
Thanks for reading and have a fun day 🙂
